    On Dec 4th I was suddenly thrust into a world with hardly any Internet access and no English news--five months in a  curtained-off section of a Japanese hospital ward bed with no visitors, not even my wife or family (hospital covid precautions).  I won't go into all of the details of my sudden five-month hospitalization, at least not now, but I will try to write about some of the events ...
